Primary-Ambient Extraction (PAE)
PAE is targeted for spatial audio analysis and reproduction of sound in digital media content. It aims at extracting the directional primary components and diffuse ambient components from given mixed input signal based on the different characteristics of the primary and ambient components. Approaches like PCA, Least squares, ICA, NMF have been employed in PAE. Our research in PAE is on-going. Please keep an eye on it.
